Jailbreaking iPhone® Could Mean Jail Time
Announced on Friday, Apple® has been in communications with the United States Copyright Office saying that "jailbreaking" an iPhone is a copyright infringement. According to Apple, a jailbroken phone runs apps that need Apple software code to run. At TUAW.com, they say that reverse engineering is a legal way of using Apple's software code because of the non-compatibility between some independent app makers and the Apple code. As of right now there is just static, but we believe that in the near future we will hear more about the validity of Appleās case.

QuickTime Pro Free in Snow Leopard?
To most of the Mac®-using population, QuickTime® is just an application in which to play movies. But, QuickTime can actually be a very extensive and useful application with many movie-editing options. This, of course, is only if you buy the $29.99 QuickTime Pro version. It is now rumored that in the new version of OS X, which is 10.6 or Snow Leopard, all of the commands in QuickTime that were previously reserved for the pro version will be unlocked and built in the regular QuickTime. This means that anyone will be able to use the many advantages of QuickTime, such as saving QuickTime format movies from the internet to your hard drive or creating and editing movies. These "Pro" features of QuickTime could all be a part of the new QuickTime X application that Apple announced would be revealed in Snow Leopard. Along with all the features of the Pro version, QuickTime X is also going to be built using technology from the iPhone to ensure support for the new formats of audio and video clips.

The Wonders of Spotlight
In Leopard, spotlight can be a handy tool in times of need. You can find the Spotlight tab at the top right of your screen. It can be used to locate files and folders on your Mac. But it can also be used as a calculator just by typing in the equation you need to be solved and it does the rest. You can even do some complex calculations like square roots! Try typing sqrt(625).
