So what exactly is Google Apps?
Google Apps is a service from Google that allows you to use custom domain names with several Google products. The web-based applications it features, such as: Gmail, Google Calendar, Talk, Docs and Sites, offer similar functionality to traditional office suites. Since Google hosts Google Apps in its own data centers, your organization wont need to maintain servers in-house (a process widely known as cloud computing or software as a service). Over time this usually adds up to big savings and less headaches.
